The Magic of Mushrooms
No doubt food eaten within natural season and grown locally tastes far better. I care passionately about food and I am keen for you to experience the excitement that cooking fine recipes seasonally offers. I am very lucky to live near a Royal Park though we are not allowed to “pick and go” what ever grows, we can still join forays, and I just did that last week to learn and tell you all about Mushrooms.
Take chanterelles for example, these beautiful mushrooms have an exquisite texture and are probably the most versatile of all wild fungi as they have so many uses in cooking. Great in cooking recipes with fish, perfect partners for game, beef and duck, accompanied by a bottle of Pauillac like in the best restaurants.
