Wine and Cheese Soiree
I’m in the process of preparing for a wine and cheese soiree we decided to have at our place. Figured it’s getting cold outside, which makes people want to run home straight from work, and it’s also getting dark pretty early and happy hour just doesn’t feel like happy hour! Now wine tastings or cocktail parties are pretty common, so how do I make this something different and attractive enough to get people over to the house on a weeknight? I want to keep it simple yet informative, plus I don’t want to be doing any intense cooking during the week. I hope that if it goes well enough, this group of friends might consider turning it in to a monthly get together. I have a couple days to do some research and pull things together so I will keep you posted on how it goes. So far though my plan is to have wine and cheese as well as some gourmet foods/light appetizers. Check back in a few days for my article because I’ll include recipes.
