Popularly known as Kheer, Payasam is a sweet and tasty recipe from south India cuisine. There are several varieties of payasam, this Kerala payasam recipe is a yummy treat for all those who have a sweet tooth.

Cooking Recipe Ingredients
1 cup Broken rice
½ cup, grated Jaggery
2½ cup, milk
1 cup, thick Coconut milk
1 teaspoon, ground Cardamoms
100 Gms cup Cashews and raisins and any other dry fruits you prefer.
Cooking recipe preparation instructions:
1. Properly wash the broken rice and cook in milk till it is soft and tender for about 20-30 minutes.
2. Add the jaggery and stir till it dissolves.
3. To this add thick coconut milk and cook on low-medium flame for another 10-15 minutes.
4. Remove from fire, let it cool and garnish with ground green cardamom powder and fried cashews and raisins.
