3 Seafood Recipes for your enjoyment
So I promised a few seafood recipes for your enjoyment and here they are! The first one is my very simple lemon pepper salmon on the grille. Then its spicy oysters that are great for parties and other kinds of occasions. Oysters are usually complicated but this makes it very easy and you can use local freshwater or salt water, it does not matter at all. The point is to start enjoying shell fish which have all kinds of good nutrients in their meat.
Enjoy these two recipes and I hope your family likes them as well as mine does.
Cameron’s Salmon on the grille
2 cups water
2 tbsp lemon pepper seasoning or 1 tbsp pepper with the juice of 1 lemon.
1 tsp oil
1 salmon steak
Tin foil
Mix oil, lemon-pepper, and water together until blended. Place salmon, skin down, on a sheet of tin foil. Make sure this is enough tin foil to cover over the steak completely. Take the salmon on the foil to the grille with the mixture. Next, place the salmon (still on the foil) onto the grille and pour the mixture over the whole steak. Some of it will spill don’t worry. Get most of it on there. Wrap it up and let it back until it is flaky and dark pink.
Spicy Oysters
1 lb. Oysters
1/2 tsp cayenne
1 jalapeno
1 sprig cilantro finely chopped
1 cup cheese
1 tomato (diced very small)
Chop up tomato, cilanto and jalapeno together and season with cayenne so it makes a nice pico-like texture. Boil oysters until they open up. Take them apart and separate the shells. Place the pico mixture into the shell and sprinkle cheese over it. Place the oysters on a baking sheet and bake at 450 degrees until they cheese is melted and brown. Enjoy!
Remember, to enjoy the food and remember that the important things in life are good food, good friends, and good conversation. Salut!
