Back to the Diet Stuff

Back to the Diet Stuff

So I haven’t done a good diet post in quite sometime and so I’m here to rectify that. Hopefully everyone is meeting their diet goals while still eating well and hopefully we haven’t lost too many people yet. I know its late February and now is the hardest time to keep your diet but just think about the fact that we are 3 months and counting from summer and all its bbqs, dinner parties, and alfresco events that come with warmer months. I’ve definitely stayed on the bandwagon and so I wanted to suggest some good gourmet diet tips for something I love but that can ruin any diet. Dessert. So many wonderful cuisines have contributed wonderful desserts. How can we forget french souffles or tiramisu from Italy? Well, now that we are controlling the waist line its time to take sweetness to a new level. The first and best way is to start to include fruit. Throwing out those heavy sweet cremes and other such dessert staples is a fast way to trim calories from your desserts and help control the tummy fat. Also, the biggest thing to remember is that even though I love gourmet foods and I know you do too, but we have to keep it in moderation. Have five dessert recipes you want to try? Try doing only one a week for 5 weeks and see what happens! Not only will you cherish and love dessert all the more but you will be spreading out those calories across several weeks and hopefully several solid gym sessions.

One of my favorite desserts to munch on from time to time that is good, and very low in calorie consists of very few ingredients:

10 butter crakers (use your favorite cracker it doesn’t matter)

3-4 Tbsp of Nutella hazelnut spread

1 glass of milk

Spread the Nutella on your crackers, and enjoy your milk (or other favorite drink) and Enjoy!

Remember, good food, good friends, and good conversation!

I love Nutella hazelnut spread. There are some great gluten-free crackers that go well with the spread, too. Almond milk (as opposed to dairy milk) goes well with Nutella hazelnut spread also, keeping in tune with the nutty flavor.

Why do people take diet as a burden? and why do they do such painful diet anyway?
