Thanksgiving is next week and that means this weekend is the prime time to prepare for families coming in for your delicious food! There are a few things from turkey to silverware that you need to consider to make sure your gourmet thanks giving is first rate.

Tables and Chairs

Make sure there is enough seats at the table and if there isnt you will still have time to either rent or buy another foldable table or something similar.

Special Dietary Needs

If you’re having more than just family this year then you need to see about any special dietary needs of your guests. It would not be a good idea to make peanut brittle, or bathe your turkey in nuts when someone is allergic to your food! With quick phonecall ahead of time this can be easily solved!

Napkins

Please see out napkin folding section on Gourmandia (http://lifestyle.gourmandia.com/napkin_folding.php) for some creative napkin folding ideas!

Dishes, Napkins, and More

If you want all your dishes to match so you have a gorgeous and well-set table then you need to start counting and reviewing, Grandma’s china would be nice but will you have enough plates for all? Just like the tables and chairs at this junction you still have time to go out and procure things so this planning ahead will do you good!

All your spices, all your ingredients

I remember when I was a child that often times my Dad would be cooking and he would say, “I need (insert ingredient here)” So of course my mother or another relative would end up driving about town trying to find the missing ingredient. Don’t let that happen to you! Get all your recipes and take stock of your pantry before the big day!

I hope these tips help you and yours have a Happy Thanksgiving!
